The learning curve

Learners are different in their leaning styles. Some are visually oriented and other are more analytical. The same approach will not work equally well for all learners. The site www.acceleratedlearning.com can help you to find out your best type of approach to enhance your learning experience.

To make the most effective use of this book and your time please prepare the right environment for the memorization tools to really work.

Relax, switch off distractions, and make yourself comfortable. Breathe deeply and slowly; your subconscious will be more receptive to new information if you move towards an ‘alpha’ state.  Classical music, particularly baroque, may help.

The progress mapper is designed to help you plan and record your progress. The kanji practice column on the right side of each page in the printed book edition doubles up as a progress log; the kanji are filled in following short activities so you can quickly find glyphs you have not yet studied or had difficulty with. You can just fold back the page to line up the relevant activity to the kanji practice box on any one page.
